GRT Dragons Program (10U–14U)
The First Competitive Step After the Academy
The GRT Dragons are the bridge between foundational development and elite baseball. Designed for athletes aged 10U–14U, the Dragons program blends fall competition, off-season skill development, and a clear pathway to higher levels of the game. Parents choose Dragons because it offers more reps, more coaching, more structure, and more opportunity. This is the program for athletes who want to take the next step.
Dragons — Fall Ball Season
September–October
Each athlete participates in a minimum of four fall ball games to establish a baseline: skill level, positional strengths, baseball IQ, athletic readiness, and areas for improvement. This ensures every athlete enters the off-season with a personalized development plan.
Dragons — Off-Season Training Program
November–April · 2–4 sessions/week depending on age and positional focus
Athletes train across five areas. Hitting Development: Swing mechanics; bat speed and power; approach and pitch selection; situational hitting. Pitching Development: Mechanics and sequencing; velocity foundations; command and control; arm care and recovery; intro to pitch design (13U–14U). Fielding Development: Infield/outfield specialization; footwork patterns; glove work; angles, reads, reaction training. Catching Development: Receiving and framing; blocking mechanics; throwing footwork; game management. Athletic Development: Strength and conditioning; speed and acceleration; rotational power; mobility and arm care; mental performance training. This is where athletes make their biggest jump.
Dragons — Spring Tournament
March or April
The Dragons close out the off-season with a competitive spring tournament — a chance for athletes to showcase their development, compete before summer, build confidence, and receive final evaluations. Parents love seeing the transformation.
Dragons — Summer Development Program (June-August)
The Dragons Summer Program provides athletes with a high‑rep, high‑development environment during the peak baseball months. This add‑on program blends local league play with two competitive summer tournaments, giving athletes the perfect balance of reps, development, and live game experience. Local League Play: Weekly games focused on reps, situational awareness, decision‑making, and applying off‑season development in live competition. Skill Development: Continued refinement of hitting, pitching, fielding, catching, and athletic performance — ensuring athletes stay sharp and continue progressing throughout the summer. Tournament Competition: Two summer tournaments that challenge athletes, build confidence, and provide meaningful evaluation opportunities heading into fall ball. This program is ideal for athletes seeking additional game action, more touches, and more opportunities to accelerate their development during June, July, and early August. Pricing and full program details are provided after submitting the registration form.
